Dear Dr. Butler
For years I have suffered from severe migraines. When we met at the health fair and you first spoke with me about acupuncture, I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive. However, you explained the process and assured me it was a safe and effective alternative to traditional medicine. When I began treatment, I was on a program of twenty-four needles, three times per week. Gradually, I have worked down to twelve needles, one treatment per month.
Acupuncture has improved my health considerably. I am no longer forced to rely on prescription medications to alleviate headaches. I thank you for making this option available to me, and would recomment this course of action for other patients as you see fit.
My son was a chronic bedwetter I tried everything, I took away drinks around bedtime, I even took him to the medical doctor. The doctor said there was nothing I could do. The very first adjustment my son had at the chiropractor changed all of that. It has been over two months and he has not had one accident. I am very thankful for chiropractors like Dr. Butler.
Because of Chiropractic I no longer get migraines, it's changed my life.
I'm Nichole an I would like to tell you my story. In 6th grade I had excruciating back pain; a little bit later I was diagnosed with scoliosis. I found out I had a 13 degree curvature. I tried to stay active by playing volleyball and softball. By 7th grade I was sitting on the side lines watching every one else play because my pain was so bad. I got re-checked by the doctor and in less than two months my curvature went up to 23 degrees. Something had to be done. So my mom's friend told us about going to a chiropractor. I went three or four times a week getting adjusted and acupuncture done. The pain gradually started to go away and I reduced my visits to the chiropractor. I was able to play volleyball and softball again with out having to ask which one of my friend's parents had Tylenol with them. I no longer had to sit on the side lines. I could sit through my classes and focus on what was being taught. In 8th grade I went back to my doctor who claimed there was no way I could have back pain. My spine was only bending therefore pinching my nerves. Thanks to Dr. Butler my curvature went down to 15 degrees. Dr. Butler kept me from ever having a back brace and asking another parent for a Tylenol. I thank him for letting me be able to play sports again, and doing the normal day to day activities that I once took for granite.
One morning, I woke up for work with an almost paralyzing pain in my lower back. I had experienced the exact pain tow weeks before, but it went away within a couple of days so I thought nothing of it. This time, the pain was stronger and I could not move without tears forming. Watching me hobble around in pain to call my family doctor, my sister suggested that I skip the doctor and go see her chiropractor, Dr. Butler. In fact, her exact words were "You know the doctor is just going to give you some Naproxen." Having heard positive feedback from other relatives regarding their experiences with their chiropractors, I called my doctor of 15 years and was given an appointment the day after my appointment with Dr. Butler.
I was amazed how efficiently the office operated. I walked in at my appointment time and was seen almost immediately. No one seemed to wait to receive treatment. After reviewing my X-rays, Dr. Butler was not only able to explain to me what he thought was the cause, but also identity some other issues I was aware of, but had ignored. Dr. Butler seemed completely comfortable taking the time to make sure I understood what was happening with my body and how we were going to correct it. Never had I seen a doctor who actually sought my opinion regarding my treatment. Generally, I would let the doctor think I was going to do what he wanted and do what actually worked instead.
Lo and behold when I went to see my physician after sitting for 30 excruciating minutes in the waiting room, I then sat in the exam room for another ten minutes before he finally cane in, asked why I was there, then stated he had no idea what caused my pain. He then faxed a prescription for a muscle relaxer to my pharmacy and told me to come back if I wasn't feeling better in a couple of days. I knew then who I would rely on to be responsible for helping me recover from my pain. Though I'm not 100%, I know that Dr. Butler's care is the reason why I am on the road to recovery.
At 80 years old i gave Dr. Butler my Disabled Person Parking Hanger because of the good changes in my health after Chiropractic care.
After I discovered a small lump in my breast I decided to have it checked out. Never once did I think it would turn out to be breast cancer. After having a mammogram and ultra sound I was told I needed to have a biopsy. I waited 4 long days to receive a call from the surgeon telling me that it was in fact breast cancer, and that I needed to have surgery to remove the mass and a lymph node sential biopsy to check if it had spread to my lymph nodes.
One week later I went under the knife and woke up to all was good, my lymph nodes from the sential biopsy had turned out clear. Three days after my surgery I again received a call from my surgeon stating that the pathology on my mass and lymph nodes was not what she had expected. My margins were NOT clear, which means I would have to go back into surgery and remove more tissue in the area of the mass. Also, 2 of the 7 lymph nodes that were removed for pathology came back positive for cancer cells. I would have a dissection of my lymph nodes, which meant all my lymph nodes under my right arm would be removed.
After my surgeries I me with my oncologist to discuss what the plan for treatment would be. It went as follows:
- 8 treatments given every other week ( 13 days apart ) I would also receive an injection on the day before and the day after chemo to increase my white blood cells.
- The 1st 4 treatments of chemo were Adriamycin an Cytoxan.
- The second 4 treatments of chemo were Taxol.
- After chemo I would then go through 37 sessions on Radiation.
Sounded easy enough, I went through the 1st 4 treatments pretty much as I had expected - Sick to my stomach all the time, the smell of food nauseated me, I lost about 10lbs, I ached all over, all my hair fell out (and it hurt ); my right arm and underarm hurt. I developed neuropathy in my feel and hands. To say I was tired would be an understatement. My white and red blood cells were in the toilet, and I slept all the time. The second 4 treatments of Taxol were HELL - I hurt all the time and nothing seemed to relieve the pain. Worse of all it turned out that I was allergic to the Taxol. This meant that I was loaded up on steroids for about 6 weeks.
I had started going to Dr. Butler before I got sick for back and neck pain. My mother and grandmother both see Dr. Butler, and during one of their visit they told him what was going on with me. He told them to tell me to come and see him.
After my 4th chemo I decided I would go by and see him. I started going 3 times a week - or more if I felt up to it. I very quickly realized that I did feel up to it. I actually started to feel better immediately. My aches and pains were still there but not near as bad. I didn't need to take as much medicine which in turn meant my liver - which I am sure has been put through the ringer - didn't have to work overtime cleaning the chemicals from my body. My doctor told me to keep it up - my blood cell count improved. I felt like I (Dr. Butler) was doing something healthy for my body, not taking more pills, or receiving more injections, for the side effects from drugs that were to save my life.
Whenever anyone asks me about my breast cancer story I tell them the whole story,
"THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY"
THE GOOD - DR. BUTLER
THE BAD - THE CANCER
THE UGLY - THE CHEMO
Dr. Butler will always be a part of my story.
I would like to thank you. Before i came to you for Chiropractic treatment, I was in pain almost everyday from my MS. Now after your treatment I have gone weeks w/out pain. Thank you.
Dr. Butler and Staff,
I just want to Thank You for all the wonderful help you have given me. I was one of those people that had headaches 4-5 times a week. They were the bad ones that sent me to bed!!!!! After about 3 months of treatment there has been such and improvement. The most that I have now is maybe a light headache every three to four months…. What an amazing change that is.
So if you suffer with migraines like I use to, then call Dr. Butler and let him work with you. He will set up a treatment plan just for you and your problems. The great thing about his office is if the feel that they can't help you they will tell you. They will NOT keep you coming back just so they make more money. They are a very Honest and Friendly Office to work with. Thank you,
From a headache free patient, Sandy W.
Thank you Dr. Butler!
It all started with a phone call. Dr. Butler was offering a free x-ray and back exam to new patients. I am such a skeptic when it comes to telemarketers but I thought I would give it a try.
Little did I know, my life would change. I am 36 years old and since I was in college I have suffered from back pain, headaches, horrible menstrual pain and neck pain. I thought I would have to live with "this pain" because I have been "used" to it. I went to see Dr. Butler and received an x-ray exam and I learned so much about how my back and spine and neck work. Well, I just never had the time to go back to see my x-ray results...until...I put my back out and could not turn my neck. I called Dr. Butler for help. Upon seeing my x-ray all of my back and neck problems made sense. He explained where these problems I have been experiencing have come from.
It was a miracle, after my 1st adjustment it was like a breakthrough for me. I could not understand why I had never even tried to go to a Chiropractor before. In "my world," I always went to the doctor and got painful shots in my back and took expensive pain pills to try and solve my problems. NOT ANYMORE!! I have seen Dr. Butler for approximately one month and I am a NEW WOMAN. I feel so blessed at all of the help and pain relief I have received without drugs and shots for my back. But that is not all. I had a menstrual cycle since I was receiving my adjustments. It was normal! No more cramps, no headaches, and no PMS suffering! At first, I though, "what is going on??? This is amazing!" Dr. Butler explained that this a very common relief that women experience upon getting adjustments.
I walk tall now and I have such peace in my life. I can pick up my 2 year old without the fear of "throwing" my back out and if I do well I can call Dr. Butler and get my back right back into shape!
The best part of my experience at Dr. Butler's office is how wonderful he is with my boys. I have a 6 yr. old with Asperger's (high functioning autism) and ADHD. He is getting adjustments and Dr. Butler is Terrific with him! I am anxious to see how the adjustments improve my son's situation as I have been researching the benefits of Chiropractor help on children. Needless to say, my little 2 year old loves Dr. Butler too. He gets his back adjusted which seems to improved his allergies.
I just had to share my experience! I am so thankful to Dr. Butler and how he has changed my life! And my kids too. I am now a healthy wife and mother and I have Dr. Butler to thank for that. My husband says that I am in such a better mood and that I am so happy. And that is because I am living without pain. Thank you Dr. Butler. I am so grateful for all of your help! I am telling everyone how awesome I feel and it is because of your help. Thank you! Thank you!
-Sincerely Amy B.
I had originally heard about Dr. Butler from my friend Norma. People were always telling me to go to Chiropractic care and I always said that I didn't believe in them. When i started going to Dr. Butler I couldn't walk right and I couldn't drive anymore but after just a few short months I was able to walk BETTER and DRIVE again. Everytime I have a flare up he knows exactly what to do. I am now an avid believer in chiropractic. Dr. Butler also gave me encouragement to lose weight. Kelly & Debbie are great supporters. He is now helping my husband, who felt the same way as me. I would recommend Chiropractic Care to everyone, especially Dr. Butler.

Like many other, I never considered chiropractic treatment as a real medical practice and at best, was skeptical about its effectiveness. Plus, the idea of someone 'moving my bones around' really freaked me out. Me? Try a chiropractor, I don't think so.
My misconceptions regarding this ancient health practice were ill founded and as I was to find out personally, quite remarkable. I don't know exactly where I learned my fear of chiropractic treatment, but it certainly was there.
A couple of years ago I visited my personal internist for severe neck and shoulder pain. She ordered x-rays and an MRI which both were within the normal range. She proceeded to prescribe muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory drugs along with a round of physical therapy. After six weeks of no relief, I discontinued the physical therapy as well as the prescription drugs. I decided to live with the pain, use heat rubs and ibuprofen.
The pain in my neck and shoulder did not get any better over the course of a year's time. Out of the blue, I received a phone call asking if I would like a free chiropractic evaluation. I decided that 'hey, it's free and what could it hurt'. I made an appointment with Dr. Scott Butler and it was probably one of the best decisions I have made.
Dr. Butler patiently explained my condition and his plan for my treatment. He answered all of my questions and cleared up all of those misconceptions I had. I will admit that I was very scared about having my neck and spine adjusted, but Dr. Butler helped me to relax and began slowly with my adjustments.
I followed the treatment plan that Dr. Butler prescribed and slowly the pain in my neck and shoulders all but diminished. I continue to return for monthly adjustments. I have learned from Dr. Butler and his terrific staff that I need to maintain my success with regular visits, and I have found this to be true.
